My first visit to Eastern State Penitentiary was in 2009.  The prison has an amazing history and is still changing due to the elements.  Parts have been restored but those are not the areas that I like to photograph.  I like the areas that have been left alone.  The plaster coming off of the walls and exposing the brick.  The dust and debris piled up along the walls.  In some cells you can see layers of paint peeling.  This image was taken during my last visit.  Light tends to be an issue in the prison since most cells only have natural light coming in from above.  Luckily this day the light was hitting the chair just right in this cell.
