This is a composite image of a musician created in Photoshop. Multiple layers of color overlays and textures were incorporated with various creative effects. The dials, faders, and knobs of a sound board emerge with the contours of the musician’s body and guitar, blending the connection between the physical act of playing and the art of sound engineering.
I conceptualized this style of portraiture as an art form merging a person’s image with their hopes and aspirations. In this image, the young man plays a guitar surrounded by HIS sound. The colors and shapes, humming with passion, made to vibrate right off the canvas.
