Evie

My husband took a photograph of our dog Evie as a puppy,
capturing light in her eyes and notable contrast between light and shadow. The
photo was later used as a reference for a painting. My painting style is
realistic and detail-oriented, but in this painting, I emphasized on depicting
muscle contours beneath the fur rather than individual hairs. The perspective
and foreshortening give the subject a sense of movement, as if she is about to
emerge from the canvas.
