TriangulariTea is an artistic tea set made of Banksia seed pod (Australia) and African blackwood. The bodies of the vessels are Banksia seed pods lathe turned to an 3/16” wall thickness. Although not utile, the African blackwood spout is lathe turned African blackwood also hollowed to a 3/16” wall thickness. The lids, finials, and handles are also made from African blackwood. The handles are each made from 2 pieces of blackwood cut to the shape of isosceles triangles and joined with a custom triangular joint. The African bubinga tray also follows the triangle theme with the edges formed with two different angles and lathe turned triangular feet.
