DB Yager honed his artistic eye growing up on his parents’
500+ acre farm in Missouri. Although he studied to be an art teacher, he
pursued a different path as a fly-fishing guide creating fishing flies for himself and his clients. Five
years ago, he was commissioned to paint a portrait of his Truman University Fraternity Advisor,
Dr. Murray, celebrating the fraternity’s 50th anniversary. Since then, DB has
invested in art classes, expanding his portfolio to include marsh and ocean
views, animals in their natural settings, and portraits of beloved dogs,
horses, and clients. His work reflects his deep connection to nature and his
artistic versatility.
