My work is inspired by time spent outdoors running, hiking, and birding, and the sense of “otherworldliness” or magic we are sometimes privy to experience in the direct vicinity of our own tangible surroundings. Featuring dreamlike depictions of landscapes, birds, and abstracted memories, these works are intended to evoke a sense of both familiarity and the surreal.
This piece pays tribute to the alien landscape of Jockey’s Ridge State Park in North Carolina’s Outer Banks.
