Summer Fusion

I have been a watercolor expressionist for many years and recently became intrigued with the idea of collage, especially since I had, as many artists do, many paintings that i wanted to repurpose. I started making collages combining new paintings with old. As I created this piece it came together with many layers of old paintings and new. When I create I focus on spontaneous experimentation. I have thoughtful placement of colorful paper and then impulsive splashes of watercolor. There is an energy that finally brings it all together.
