Saluda Blue

My studio is in Hendersonville surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. On a drive between Tryon and Saluda i became inspired by the steep forests that lined the roadway and the glint of sunlight peeking through the treetops. The kudzu was everywhere and an occasional waterfall came down the cliffs. Although I am an expressionist abstract artist all of my creations are inspired and have a basis in nature. However, surface, line and color are important elements in my layering process. I have noticed that my work has become more abstract as I interpret nature.
