Rusty Ridge

The rugged, beautiful landscape of the southwest fills the endless blue sky with endless etchings in the mesas. This painting was begun on location in northern New Mexico using natural earth pigments and alabaster dust blended with cold wax adding texture and depth. A painting can only begin to capture the timelessness of the high desert.
