My work is inspired by time spent outdoors running, hiking, and birding, and the sense of “otherworldliness” or magic we are sometimes privy to experience in the direct vicinity of our own tangible surroundings. Featuring dreamlike depictions of landscapes, birds, and abstracted memories, these works are intended to evoke a sense of both familiarity and the surreal.
This piece was inspired by a recent birding trip with my mom down in Florida.
