“My Daughter, Give Me Thy Heart, and Let Thine Eyes Observe My Ways” is part of an ongoing series “Blood is Thicker than Water,” which explores complex familial relationships through the predator vs. prey dynamic lens. This work in particular illustrates the constant push-and-pull and everpresent cycle of processing familial trauma while still being physically close to the offending party and/or memories; feeling like prey in the perpetual hunt.
