Delving into the depths of my artistic journey, this piece emerges from a culmination of experiences spanning several decades. Initially conceived during my exploration of figurative clay sculpting, it draws inspiration from a blend of past endeavors, including my experimentation with fabric in clay.

Part of a larger series, this artwork centers on my childhood fascination with ventriloquism dummies and games such as Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Within this series, I have found comfort in portraying the female form adorned with metal crowns, symbolic of empowerment and female reverence. My work delves into dark themes that reflect the complexities of my own journey. The presence of whips, nails, and chains evokes a sense of struggle. The blindfolded female figure typically associated with the scales of justice, this time peeking out from the blindfold looking angry, hints at obscured truths and the possibility of injustice lurking beneath the surface.

Through this sculpture I confront personal narratives and wrestle with their significance. The symbolism of the objects laden in the piece carries both universal and personal meaning inviting viewers to delve deeper into the layers of my introspection.
