When I look at this piece I see multiple Double Bass instruments. I feel the music coming out, in a deep boom, boom, boom rhythm that reverbs the surrounding creating a sense of excitement.
The vibrant colors next to cool tones give this painting a lively, energetic feeling. The way the colors bleed into each other gives it a sense of movement. Even though the painting is relatively flat I was able to accomplish a textural feel by layering the inks and adding a sense of depth with contrasting colors.
