Amor Ferox

In my work, I am inspired by the way a child perceives the world. There is no malice, jealousy, or presumptuousness.  The images in my art are layered with boldness, deep color, and happiness. The images evolve by reflecting the notion of unconditional love and I attempt to capture the fearless beauty within it.  While concept is fundamental to my work, the process is fluid which allows me to approach each piece with openness. I am intrigued by our connection and relationship to animals—from its transformative qualities and ability to produce joy in us.  I am also fascinated by eyes and this has been a source of expressing the heart and soul of my subject.
This piece in particular represents the brave face of love that sometimes is needed to be with someone.
