I enjoy finding odds and ends to create in my art. It seems to add more of me than just starting anew. The flowers found on a paper napkin were the inspiration for the crab found on another napkin to become King. Crowns have also held my interest for some time, reflecting upon society’s urge to elevate, judge and adore the figure wearing the crown. Who decides? Who judges? And who is worthy?

I used a collage and decoupage technique to create the image, adding acrylic paint for detail. The found cut shapes were added with glue onto a recycled re-gessoed canvas.
